Freshman Megan Lu said her first year of high school is going well so far. She explained the first few weeks of school have already turned out differently than expected, due to the amount of quizzes and tests each week. Lu said, “I feel that everybody has been lied to and that the media has pressured and basically mind controled everybody to think high school is supposed to be the best four years of your life...you’re supposed to go out and save the world, or fix the government, or have an amazing love story! Its very unrealistic” Lu said. Lu predicts she will work on getting a good work ethic for her next four years at BVNW, along with establishing a normal sleep schedule. Lu makes it her goal to get involved and not be so afraid to talk to people. “The little girl inside of me is still hoping for some kind of big love romance but I don’t know if that will happen, Lu said, “I also hope I make some new friends too.” Lu said she hopes to take high school one step at a time and not worry about the ACT or college too much.
