Caitlin Hendricks announced as new coach of Purple Pride

For the upcoming 2019-20 school year, Principal Amy Pressly announced Caitlin Hendricks would head up the newly named BVNW dance team, Purple Pride.

Caitlin Hendricks will be head coach of the BVNW Purple Pride dance team for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year, according to Principal Amy Pressly. Hendricks attended Texas Tech University to receive her Texas Teacher Certification in Dance and Bachelor’s of Art degree. She has experience as the former Mckinney North Northstars Dance Team director, Westside Dance Academy staff member, West Des Moines Valley Coach and was a High Voltage Iowa Energy dancer. For students interested in making the team, one must attend one pre-tryout clinic day from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on May 21, 22 or 23, with tryouts starting on May 28. Story to come.

Jenna Weyforth is a junior and the Chief Writer for her second year on the wonderful staff of “The Express.” She spends much of her time within the BVNW community as an alto saxophone in the marching band and a cross country runner as well as a member of Stugo, Tri-M and many other activities that help boosts her résumé.
