Fourth quarter update

March 11, 2023

The Falcons opened the fourth quarter by scoring both their free throws, however the Huskies still led the Falcons 39-29. Throughout the beginning of the quarter, Wichita Heights began to reduce the amount of points between the two teams. Despite this, the Huskies had a 6-point scoring streak with senior Landon Braun scoring the first of the baskets with 4:06 left on the clock. Shortly after, Braun scored one more, along with Stubblefield adding 2 more points on the board.

Wichita Heights would go on to put a stop to the Huskies’ scoring streak by scoring 2 of their own. Then, with 3:01 remaining in the game, the Falcons called a timeout. At this point, the Huskies led the Falcons 47-39.

The last basket of the game would come from Fritz, making the final score 55-50. With this win, the Huskies are the 2023 6A boys basketball state championship.
