No. 2 Huskies to play No. 6 Raiders in 6A state semifinal game

The boys varsity basketball team advances to face Shawnee Mission South in the 6A state semifinals on March 8 at the Charles Koch Arena.

The No. 2 Blue Valley Northwest Huskies will play the No. 6 Shawnee Mission South Raiders in the 6A state semifinal game Friday at 4:45 p.m. at the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita. The Huskies reached the semifinals by defeating Olathe North, 75-70, improving to 21-2 on the season. The Raiders upset No. 3 JC Harmon Hawks, 57-46, improving to 19-4, completing the semifinal match up. The winner of the BVNW,  SMS game will play the winner of the other semifinal game between No. 1 Washburn Rural (22-1) and No. 5 Wichita-Southeast (20-3).
