The varsity boys soccer team took home a win against J.C. Harmon, defeating them 9-0.

Junior Brandon Stanczak scored two of the nine goals during the game. He said he was proud of his work as a single player and as part of a team.

“We capitalized well on their defensive game,” Stanczak said. “We moved the ball around well also, scoring with a lot of through balls.”

Head coach Rick Pribyl was equally impressed with the team’s performance, and said he was proud of the team’s hard work.

“We exploited their defense pretty well,” Pribyl said. “All the teammates passed well and made good shots on the goal.”

The team plays next on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the finals of the Fat Cat tournament. According to Pribyl, he is excited for the match, and is expecting nothing but the best.

“I’m proud of [the team], win, lose, or draw,” Pribyl said. “They’re finally getting into their groove.”
