Spring break photo contest rules
March 7, 2016
Whether you’re in Overland Park for spring break or traveling somewhere far away, tweet a photo of what you’re up to over the break and tag @BVNWnews between March 10-20 for a chance to win $100.
There will be two rounds of the photo contest. The first round will narrow down the entries to five photos based on a points system. Ways to earn points:
- Each “like” on a tweet counts as one point.
- Each retweet counts as two points.
- Including an issue of The Express in your photo counts as five points (copies of The Express can be found outside of room 902).
Entries will stop collecting points at 11:59 p.m. March 20.
Once the five finalists are determined, photos will be judged by the staff of BVNWnews.com/The Express. Judgement will be based on the photos’ quality of composition, creativity, aesthetic appeal and storytelling.
Miscellaneous rules:
- If a tweet includes multiple photos, the staff of BVNWnews.com/The Express will decide upon the best photo of the set and judge that photo.
- You may enter as many photos as you like.
- You may vote for as many photos as you like.
- Votes from fake or inactive accounts will not count.
- Votes will be counted March 20 at 11:59 p.m.
- For a submission to be eligible, your account must follow @BVNWnews on Twitter.
- Your account must be public, as @BVNWnews must retweet your submission in order for it to be eligible.
Winners will be announced March 21.
