Seniors Aditya Parikh and Pranith Surapaneni practice playing the violin and the guitar for the Melodies for Memories club they founded. Parikh said he has been able to make connections through music and hopes to inspire the same in nursing homes. “Everyone has listened to some sort of music in their life and can connect to a live performance,” Parikh said, “That is a big part of why we created the organization because we wanted to share what we found with others.”
A timeless connection
The Melodies for Memory club, founded by Northwest students, provides an outlet for appreciating music, connection and creativity while helping diversify the routine for residents in senior homes.

A major injury puts an end to an athlete's season. Junior Max Moser, defensive back on the varsity football team, fractured the head of his ulna and dislocated his elbow during the first playoff game this season. "We work so hard to be able to go out there and play to the best of our ability and to not be able to play is frustrating," Max said. "I wasn't even that mad about my injury, I’m more mad at the fact that I can’t play."
