Coming into the second quarter, Blue Valley Northwest led Wichita Heights 13-6.
The Huskies opened the second quarter with senior Grant Stubblefield scoring the first basket of the quarter with 7:46 remaining in the half.
With just over 3 minutes left in the half, senior Aidan Behymer received a technical foul.
Then, with 2:42 left in the half, the Huskies called a timeout.
With 0:35 left in the half, Stubblefield stole the ball from the Falcons and proceeded to score a three-pointer making the score 22-15 at the end of the first half, Huskies ahead.
Alyssa Gagnon is a senior and writer for “The Express” as well as a designer. This is her third year on staff. Outside of newspaper, Alyssa is involved in soccer, Quill and Scroll, NHS, SNHS and Kay Club. In her free time, she loves to hang out with her friends, travel, play soccer, go to the gym, and listen to music. Alyssa is very thankful to be apart of “The Express” and is excited to see where this year takes her.
