Liz LaHood is a senior and the Online Editor of “The Express” and BVNWnews. This is her second year in the Online Editor position and third year on staff, previously serving as a writer. Outside of newspaper, Liz is a member of the NAHS Board, in addition to being involved in NHS, Quill & Scroll and MUSE. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading, spending time with friends and watching movies, her favorites including “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Batman.” Liz is thrilled to return to the role of Online Editor and hopes to further elevate the high quality work put out by the staff.

​​Lila Vancrum is a senior and Editor-In-Chief for “The Express.” This is her third year on staff, previously serving as a photographer and photo editor. Outside of newspaper, Lila is involved in girl’s soccer, KAY Club, Team Up for St. Jude’s, NHS and Quill & Scroll. In her free time she enjoys going out to eat, hanging out with friends and binging TV shows, her favorites include “One Tree Hill” and “Pretty Little Liars.” Lila is excited to take on the role of being an Editor-In-Chief and hopes to improve the photography for stories and social media. 

George Buckley is a junior and a photographer for “The Express.” This is his first year on staff. George is also a runner for the Cross Country team, a member of MUSE and a participant in the Environmental Club. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends, playing with film and watching some of his favorite movies, which include “The Cabin in the Woods” and “Independence Day.” George is enthusiastic about his upcoming time with newspaper and cannot wait to learn from other staff members.

Remi Nuss is a senior and Chief Photographer for “The Express.” This is her third year on staff. Outside of newspaper, Remi is a part of the varsity volleyball team, connections, National Honor Society and Quill & Scroll. In her free time she loves to travel and spend time with her family. She is excited to spend her last year of high school in her favorite class. 

Bailey Thompson is a senior and Chief Photographer for “The Express.” Outside of staff, Bailey is in NHS, NAHS and a part of the girls soccer team. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as binge-watching TV shows and movies on Netflix. Bailey is excited for what the future has in store for her and is ready for the next step.

Norah Alasmar is a senior and the Online Photo Editor for “The Express.” This is her second year on staff. Outside of newspaper, Norah is involved in girls golf, NHS, SNHS and KAY Club. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and watching her favorite shows and movies. Norah is excited to take on this role, and hopes to improve the photos distributed to our readers.

Kendall Dickerson is a photographer for “The Express.” She is a senior and this is her first year on staff. Other than newspaper, she is involved in choir, NHS, NEHS and KAY Club. Outside of school, she enjoys studying sociology, calling her friends from California and listening to different metal bands, some of which include Lorna Shore, Loathe, Silent Planet and Holding Absence. Finding new music allows her to seek inspiration for characters she writes and visualizes in The Sims 4. Overall, she’s ecstatic to join the newspaper staff and end high school with captivating images.

Shahd Abdeljalil is a photographer for “The Express.” She is a sophomore and this is her first year on staff. Outside of newspaper, Shahd is a member of multiple clubs including MSA and Diversity Club. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, binge-watching shows and traveling. Overall, Shahd is very excited to finally join newspaper and to grow her photography skills!

Arpa Das is a senior and a photographer for the Express. This is her first year on staff. Outside of newspaper she is part of the BVNW girls golf team, MUSE, NHS, KAY Club and is a board member of NAHS. Arpa also enjoys binging Netflix shows as well as going to the driving range and shopping with her friends. She’s excited for what her senior year will bring.
