The band’s field show “The Piano Man: The Music of Billy Joel” was performed at half-time of the football game on Sept. 23. Trumpet soloist is Ben Gunnarson and snare drum soloist is Ben Bandel. Drum Majors are Jenny Beesley, Emily Renton, and Allie Burik. Dazzler captains are Kelsey Cooper, Melissa Koontz, and Krista Wargo. In addition to performing at all home football games, the band will participate in the Central States Marching Festival in Manhattan, the Tournament of Champions Marching Festival in St. Joe, Missouri, the Overland Park Parade, and on Jan. 1, 2011, the band will march in the New Year’s Day Parade in London, England.
