Lindsey Farthing is a senior and the 2021-2022 Photo Editor of “The Express.” Outside of newspaper she is a member of the BVNW softball and volleyball teams. She is also a part of Student Government, Mental Health Board, Quill and Scroll Honor Society, and National Honor Society. Whenever time allows, Lindsey enjoys making TikToks and working her part-time job at Cookies By Design. She loves listening to country music, hanging out with friends and watching her comfort show, “Grey’s Anatomy.” This year Lindsey hopes to help the younger photographers on staff learn a lot while also growing as a photographer herself.
Lila Vancrum is a senior and Editor-In-Chief for “The Express.” This is her third year on staff, previously serving as a photographer and photo editor. Outside of newspaper, Lila is involved in girl’s soccer, KAY Club, Team Up for St. Jude’s, NHS and Quill & Scroll. In her free time she enjoys going out to eat, hanging out with friends and binging TV shows, her favorites include “One Tree Hill” and “Pretty Little Liars.” Lila is excited to take on the role of being an Editor-In-Chief and hopes to improve the photography for stories and social media.
Maci Miller is a sophomore and a photographer for “The Express.” Outside of newspaper, Maci is on the Blue Valley Northwest JV cheerleading team and is a part of the Mental Health Club. She works at Emler Swim School, babysits and dog-walks. Maci spends her free time hanging out with friends and family and binge-watching shows. Maci is most looking forward to collaborating with and learning from others this year.
Remi Nuss is a senior and Chief Photographer for “The Express.” This is her third year on staff. Outside of newspaper, Remi is a part of the varsity volleyball team, connections, National Honor Society and Quill & Scroll. In her free time she loves to travel and spend time with her family. She is excited to spend her last year of high school in her favorite class.
Regan Simeon is a senior and the Social Media Editor of BVNWnews. This is her second year on staff and she previously served as a photographer and designer for “The Express”. Outside of publications she is a member of NHS, NEHS, Quill & Scroll, Medical Club, Mental Health Board as well as the Communications Manager for the Executive Board of Student Government. Outside of school she spends her time at Above the Barre Dance Academy as a competitive dancer on the studio’s company team as well as an assistant and teacher. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, binge watching TV shows and going to the movie theater. Regan is eager to kick the year off and is looking forward to bettering and expanding Northwest’s social media presence.
