It all started when I ripped the crisp red ribbon off my Christmas present. In shock, I looked down at a compact black box. “What could it be?” I wondered. I curiously tore off the rest of the Santa Claus wrapping paper. However, this was no ordinary present. I stared down at a rugged, antiquated object so unknown to me that I had no clue what it was; until it hit me. Suddenly, after my mere five years of living, I knew I had hit the jackpot. It was a laptop.

Ever since then, I have been captivated by technology. Not just what new phones are released every year or how “trendy” that new camera is, but how technology is changing our lives. New ideas emerge every day. Inventions that our parents would never have dreamed of are now reality.

When I turned on that ancient Windows Millennium Edition computer, a world of possibilities opened. It didn’t matter that I didn’t figure out how to connect to the internet for another year or that the battery lasted the time it took me to ride my bike around the neighborhood. My dreams of a smarter future were now reality and that’s all I cared about.

That is why I created this blog. I am continuing my dreams and love of technology and sharing it with the world. Phones, tablets, computers, and just about anything with a battery is in the running. I am excited to start this journey and I hope along the way these new devices will be a little easier to understand and learn from.
