To donate:

Donations for this scholarship can be made here. Suggested donation amounts range from $30-$500. There is a place to specify that this is a memorial contribution and indicate that the donation is in memory of Kim Gibney.

Criteria for the scholarship:

This scholarship is open to those graduating seniors with at least a 3.0 grade point average (weighted or non-weighted) who are interested in studying science and/or education in college. It is a one-time only award payable to the four-year postsecondary educational institution of the recipient’s choice, and is intended to help pay for tuition, fees and/or books.

The application requires a resume and an official copy of the student’s high school transcript. The student must also indicate the name and location of the postsecondary institution they plan to attend. In addition, an essay that describes how the student’s interest in science and/or education developed and what they gained from that experience.

See a school counselor or visit this website for more information on how to apply.

A volleyball tournament in honor of Kim Gibney will be held April 12. The proceeds will benefit this scholarship. More information will be released as soon as the tournament is completely planned.
