After a second place finish at state in the 2015 season, the girls varsity volleyball team looks to take home the 6A state title. After multiple years of top three places at state, head coach Molly Haggerty said she is stressing the importance to lay it all on the line and try to win state.

“Our expectations for this year are to continue the success of our program,” Haggerty said. “We took it a step further to say that we wanted our girls to strive to win state this year.”

With five returning seniors, senior Morgan Lewis said she is optimistic about the returning players and the new talent they have acquired.

“People have really stepped up to the plate of taking new positions,” Lewis said. “I feel like this year with our new work ethic we can really improve and win [state].”
