This week, I decided to spice up my ordinary lunch and ordered the limited-time-only turkey pickle sandwich, or the Picklewich, and pickle-flavored chips from Jimmy John’s. When I first unwrapped the sandwich I questioned my decision. The gutted green pickle replacing the regular sandwich bread was quite the switch-up and seeing it in real life made me hesitant. After that first bite, the crunch is what made the Picklewich satisfying. Without the bread to absorb some of the moisture, it was messier to eat and some of the toppings slid out. The limited offer also includes pickle chips, which I found unnecessary because the pickle sandwich itself provided the crunchy aspect and the chips were a bit too overpowering for one meal. For those two items, it was $10.60. It was like paying for the price of a whole sandwich but smaller. In my opinion, I would recommend the Picklewich and chips, however, potato salad or fruit would be a better option to pair with the sandwich. Overall, I would recommend trying it before it is gone Nov. 14.
